YWLF Scholar Shines at the Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo

Today, wrapped up the Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo in Georgetown at the Guyana Energy Conference and Supply Chain Expo in Georgetown, and we couldn’t be more proud of one of our shining stars, Aruni Sealey. Aruni, the 2023 recipient of our YWLF-GY scholarship, is a first-year Architectural Engineering student at the University of Guyana. She stood out as one of the five young women from UG who joined forces with Exxon Mobil Guyana to delve into discussions about the future of Guyana’s energy sector with leading industry experts.

Our Founder and President, Cloyette Harris-Stoute, caught up with Aruni at the Youth Forum held during the expo. She witnessed Aruni’s dynamic interaction with the speakers, demonstrating her knowledge and passion for her field. It was inspiring to see Aruni not just participate but actively engage in and contribute to the conversations that will shape the future of energy in Guyana.

Congratulations, Aruni! Your dedication, intelligence, and courage to step into spaces where young women are traditionally underrepresented not only make us incredibly proud but also prove why Guyanese girls genuinely rock!
