YWLA: To Wakanda and Back!

It was movie night at the academy this weekend.  Our students and volunteers dressed up to celebrate all to the strong women from the Black Panther movie, but represented especially for the two Guyanese actresses who had significant roles. GGRF Young Women Leadership Academy Opens At Queens Central Library!

We are excited to announce the launch of our Young Women Leadership Academy (YWLA);  a 2-hour Saturday program for high school girls from the Guyanese community.  The curriculum combines leadership education with mentoring and workshops.
