A Day in the Community at South Queens Women’s March Fall Festival!

Yesterday, we had a blast at the South Queens Women’s March Fall Festival! Our Young Women’s Leadership Academy (YWLA) student, Natasha Singh, joined in the fun and had the opportunity to talk to many community members about our initiatives.

This event, held in Richmond Hill, Queens allowed us to connect and share with the predominantly Guyanese community, reminding us of the power of unity and collaboration.  We also enjoy traditional Guyanese cuisine and cultural musical performances and dance, and left with hope in our hearts and look forward to building a brighter, more inclusive future together.

Thank you SEQWM for having us; we’re grateful to have been part of such a diverse and inclusive event. Here’s to more fun, learning, and community bonding in the future! Keep an eye out for upcoming events and opportunities, and let’s keep working together to empower young women and build stronger communities!
