Getting more girls to participate in technology is one of the challenges in an increasingly digital world, and DigiGirlz, Microsoft’s YouthSpark program gives middle and high school girls opportunities to learn about careers in technology, connect with Microsoft employees, and participate in hands-on computer and technology workshops. A Day At ABC Studios! YWLA Students Visit EyeWitness News Set and More…

Last week YWLA students enjoyed a very special behind the scenes visit to ABC Studios. The day started with a close-up view of the live morning broadcast of EyeWitness News with co-anchors Shirleen Allicot and Ken Rosato, our very kind & gracious hosts. YWLA Students Meet the First Lady of Guyana

One of our goals at GGRF is to expose our young women to exceptional female leaders, and First Lady of Guyana, HE Sandra Granger, is a great example and a role model.  Yesterday our young women had the pleasure of meeting the First Lady who was visiting Brooklyn to attend a fundraising luncheon held in her honor by the coalition of Guyanese women.
