GGRF Awards Scholarships to University of Guyana Students

We are pleased to announce that through our recently launched Young Women’s Leadership Fund – Guyana, we have awarded scholarships to three remarkable freshman students from the University of Guyana. This initiative is a shining example of our unwavering commitment to empowering young women and fostering educational excellence in Guyana.

These scholarships represent our belief in the potential and power of these young women to create positive change. The awardees have distinguished themselves through their exceptional dedication to academic excellence, passion for leadership, and ambitions and career pursuits.

Our founder, Mrs. Cloyette Harris-Stoute, who was in Guyana on business, had the honor of meeting and presenting the awards to these remarkable young women in Guyana.  We also extend a special thank you to attorney and author Vania Legall for her generous donation of copies of her book.

Meet the Inaugural Recipients:

1. Dwamacy Griffith – A Future Life-Saver in the Making

Dwamacy Griffith, studying biology, is a standout student with a profound passion for the sciences. Her ambition to become a cardiothoracic surgeon is driven by a noble desire to save lives and make significant contributions to healthcare. Dwamacy’s academic excellence and dedication to her field exemplify the qualities we cherish at GGRF.

2. Aruni Sealey – Designing a Sustainable Future

Aruni Sealey, pursuing architectural and building technology, embodies an innovative spirit. Her aspiration to become an architect aligns with her vision of contributing to sustainable infrastructure and urban development in Guyana. Aruni’s pursuit represents a commitment to creating better living environments and communities.

3. Naomi Roberts – A Tech Trailblazer

Naomi Roberts, studying information technology, shines as a beacon for young women in tech. Her ambition to be a software developer reflects her passion for technology and innovation. Naomi’s dedication to her field is a source of inspiration and a reminder of the vital role of women in technology.

To Dwamacy, Aruni, and Naomi – congratulations on your well-deserved scholarships! Your hard work, dedication, and passion are truly commendable. You are exemplary representatives of the values and vision of the GGRF, and we are proud to support you on your journey to excellence.
