WHAT WE DO

Through our Young Women’s Leadership Academy in Queens, New York, we provide Guyanese teen girls with leadership training, mentorship, cultural programming, and scholarships. Our cohort-based model builds sisterhood alongside skill, giving girls the community they need to grow with confidence.

Through our Young Women’s Leadership Fund in Guyana, we support young women pursuing higher education at the University of Guyana, creating a full-circle pipeline of opportunity that bridges both sides of the Atlantic.

Together, these programs reflect our core belief: that when Guyanese girls are rooted in their heritage and equipped with the right tools, there is no limit to where they will go.”

OUR MISSION

Guyanese Girls Rock Foundation empowers Guyanese teen girls navigating diaspora identity to discover their voice, lead with purpose, and walk boldly into their futures. Since 2016, we have been cultivating confidence, preserving cultural heritage, and opening doors to opportunity through our Young Women’s Leadership Academy in New York and our Young Women’s Leadership Fund in Guyana.

GGRF is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded on the belief that when Guyanese girls lead with pride in their heritage, they change their families, their communities, and the world.

When you give to Guyanese Girls Rock Foundation, Inc., you are supporting young women of Guyanese heritage to be equipped with tools that are necessary to be successful in college. Your donation will help us to fund our scholarships that award these deserving young women with financial support and new laptop computers.
