Congratulations to Guyanese, Kcaysha Medas-King, on earning the title “Fastest 9-10 Sprinter” in New York City

In 2014, Kcaysha Medas-King was named the USATF New York Athlete of the Year – Youth Track and Field 8 & Under Girls. In 2015, she was name one of the “Fastest Kids on the Block” following her victory in the 55-meter girls race at the NYRR Millrose Games with a time of 8.48 seconds.

The 9-year-old Guyanese sprinter is now the fastest 9-10 sprinter in New York City after recently winning three titles  (100m, 200m & 400m) at the USATF New York Junior Olympic Track & Field two-day Championship at the Ichan Stadium.

Kcaysha, who resides in New York, was recently in Guyana for the “Golden Mile” road race 2016 which coincided with Guyana’s Golden Jubilee of Independence celebrations.  She received a trophy for being the youngest runner.   Kcaysha is the daughter of Andy Medas King, a former athlete from Guyana and founder of the King Medas Classic.  Congratulations Kcaysha – You Rock!

A Guyanese girl is now the fastest 9-10 sprinter in New York City after winning three titles at the USATF New York Junior Olympic Track & Field two-day Championship at the Ichan Stadium in Manhattan which concluded on Sunday.
